Chitwan Village

Day 1: Arrival at Chitwan Jungle

Your journey begins with a scenic drive or short flight from Kathmandu or Pokhara to Chitwan. On arrival, check in to your luxury jungle lodge and enjoy a freshly prepared buffet lunch using locally sourced ingredients. In the afternoon, head out on a guided walk through a nearby Tharu village, where you’ll learn about the traditions, architecture, and daily life of Chitwan’s indigenous Tharu community. As the day winds down, relax by the riverside or a nearby viewpoint and watch the sun dip below the jungle horizon. In the evening, enjoy a gourmet dinner featuring Nepali and Tharu specialities, followed by a beautiful Tharu stick dance performance.

Day 2: Explore Chitwan’s wildlife wonders

After breakfast, set out on a peaceful canoe ride along the Rapti River, keeping an eye out for waterbirds, crocodiles, and other riverine wildlife. This is followed by a guided jungle walk, where your expert guide will introduce you to the region’s diverse flora and fauna. Later, visit the Elephant Breeding Centre to learn about conservation efforts in Chitwan National Park. In the afternoon, choose between a gentle elephant-back safari or a jeep safari that takes you deeper into the park. Return to the lodge in the evening for a relaxed dinner and time to share stories from the day’s wildlife sightings.
