Follow Alice to an unusual New Years Eve!
We’ll be summiting Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain and one of the world’s greatest natural wonders on New Year’s Eve! Climbing Kilimanjaro is like walking from the equator to the North Pole in a week, where we will experience dramatic changes in vegetation and animal life day by day. It’s like trekking through a nature documentary: every campsite provides breathtakingly beautiful views and some much-needed respite in the peaceful quiet of the end of the day. See it for yourself:
And.. We’ve planned our itinerary such that we’ll get to the top of Africa on exactly New Year’s Eve! You will be overwhelmed by a pure feeling of joy and satisfaction on 5,895m (19,341ft) above sea level – early in the morning of January 1st when the sun comes up, introducing 2018 to you in a way you‘d have never dreamed of before!
The entire trip is 9 days (including one day before and after the climb in our beautiful partner lodge in Arusha) and the climb itself takes 7 days via the Lemosho route.
Here are the exact dates:
So it’s possible to still spend Christmas eve with your family. Or… you use it as an excuse to escape and fly a few days earlier and go on Safari to Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti National Park, both world UNESCO heritage sites and some of the richest places in the world for wildlife. Another possibility is to spend a few days in Zanzibar and enjoy some of the best beaches in the world.LEARN MORE ABOUT THE TRIP
